Santiago Calatrava the famous architect designed the Bilbao airport which is a clear picture of how the city has modernized.
Along with the modern airport the city also houses the Guggenheim Museum. The airport is situated outside the city and is a mere 12kms away from it. Other train services like the Euskotrens ply from Axturi to Bermeo and if compared to the bus service, it is much slower. It is a beautiful scenic route along the way.
Buses from the airport start early from 6:20 am and ply to the City Centre. The frequency of the bus is 20 Minutes and they run constantly until midnight. The fare of the bus service is nominal and good enough for those who are not willing to spend on private taxi services or any other means of personal transport.
The P2 is a new parking area that has been created in front of the airport that has 13 parking spaces. The parking area is an open space without a roof which is beneficial for taller vehicles.
